Connect MT5

Connect your MT5 in minutes.

xTriel reads your MetaTrader 5 accounts through one lightweight Expert Advisor. Attach it, and your terminal streams live — balance, equity, floating P&L, and positions — straight to your dashboard, with instant Telegram risk alerts. No broker permissions change.

Read-only EA · Any MT5 broker · Self-hosted

Step by step

From zero to live in five steps.

Generate a token, attach one EA per terminal, and the rest is automatic.

01

Generate your Ingest Token

Sign up at app.xtriel.com, then open Profile → Connect your EA → Generate Token. Copy it — it starts with xti_, is shown once, and the same token works on every terminal you own.

02

Download & install the EA

Download the package and unzip it. In MT5: File → Open Data Folder, then drop XtrielReporterEA_v1.60.ex5 into MQL5\Experts. Right-click Expert Advisors in the Navigator → Refresh.

Download the Reporter EA · .zip v1.60
03

Allow the EA to reach xtriel.com

In MT5: Tools → Options → Expert Advisors. Tick “Allow WebRequest for listed URL” and add https://xtriel.com. Click OK.

Skip this and every post fails with error 4060 / 5203

04

Attach the EA & paste your token

Drag XtrielReporterEA onto any chart. On the Inputs tab, paste your token into IngestToken, name the terminal in CustomName, click OK — and make sure AutoTrading is on.

Read-only — it never places trades

05

Watch it go live

Within a few seconds the terminal flips to Live on your dashboard with a fresh Last Ingest time. Repeat steps 2–4 with the same token on every other terminal.

Instant Telegram alerts

The EA reads — it never trades.

The xTriel Expert Advisor is a one-way bridge. It streams account telemetry out to your own gateway and has no authority to open, modify, or close a single position. Your broker login, your funds, and your execution stay exactly where they are.

Good to know

What you need before you start.

A short list — most traders already have all three.

Any MT5 broker

xTriel is broker-agnostic. If your account runs in MetaTrader 5, it works — connecting through the EA, nothing more. No special account type, no broker approval, no API keys to request.

A terminal that stays online

Live data streams only while the MT5 terminal running the EA is on — the same as any EA or copier. Most traders run it on a VPS so monitoring continues 24/7 without leaving a home machine on.

Telegram (optional, for alerts)

Want risk pings the moment a threshold trips? Link a Telegram account when you set up rules. The dashboard works without it — Telegram just adds instant notifications wherever you are.

Nothing changes on the broker side.

Attaching the EA doesn't touch your broker permissions, leverage, or settings. It's a read-only monitor that lives alongside whatever else you run in MetaTrader 5 — your own EAs, manual trading, or a copier — without getting in the way.

Troubleshooting

If something looks off.

The three things traders ask about most — and the quick fix for each.

My terminal isn't showing up +
Make sure the EA is attached to a chart and that AutoTrading is on (the toolbar button should be green). Confirm your Ingest Token is pasted into the EA's IngestToken input, and that https://xtriel.com is added under Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest for listed URL — a missing URL shows as error 4060/5203 in the Experts log. Give it a few seconds; the card appears as soon as the first snapshot arrives.
A terminal is marked "stale" +
A stale (amber) status means xTriel hasn't received a fresh snapshot recently — usually the MT5 terminal went offline, lost its connection, or the chart with the EA was closed. Check that the terminal is still running and online; if it's on a VPS, confirm the VPS is up. Once data flows again, the dot turns green automatically. You can also set a stale-terminal rule so xTriel pings you the moment a feed goes quiet.
Telegram alerts aren't arriving +
First, confirm Telegram is linked in your settings and that you have at least one active risk rule with a threshold that can actually trip. Remember that batching and cooldowns intentionally group rapid-fire events, so you may see one consolidated alert rather than many. On the Free tier alerts are capped per day — if you've hit the cap, upgrade for unlimited delivery. Check your alert history to confirm whether a rule fired.

Attach the EA. Watch it stream.

Create your account, drop the Expert Advisor on a chart, and your first MT5 terminal is live in minutes.
